Can you see your SD card as mounted ?

(Settings - Storage - scroll down to SD Card - it should show how much space available)

If not, you may have do check the SD Card filesystem.

(use your PC to do that)

About camera, you can select SD Card in Settings (vertical dots) - Tools tab (the 3rd after cam and vid).

Scroll down and you'll see Data storage option.
