I know it's not out yet and I know it's even less likely to come to the USA anytime soon, but it doesn't change the fact I really liked the phone. If Sony could just fix the touchscreen issues, I wouldn't be jumping through hoops to settle on something else.

I know this thread can pretty much go no where, but I'm excited for the new model and hopefully it'll come to the USA without touch issues.

but if you take a look for Z2 video you will see the same touchscreen issue as Xperia SP, I think it is related to glove mode and sony didnt do anything for that

I never had any touchscreen issues with the Z1 but I have some issue that I am hoping Sony have address and fixed with the Z2:

1. What is the point in buying a high end phone with super strong gorrila glass, but then putting an anti shatter film on top of it that isn't scratchs proof and will scraths easilly, Have they addressed this issue?

2. Are the connection ports still flimsy and easilly breakable, I had to buy a wireless charger because I was so afraid of my charger cover breaking off from natural use.

3. Is the warranty still robbing and extorting us? What I mean by this is what is the point on not providing cover for the main selling point of the phone which is the waterproofness. How can the phone's warranty not cover this. They are basically saying that "the phone is waterproof, but we are not confident enough with its waterporoofness to cover it in the warranty".

Those are absolute dealbreakers for me.

If these touchscreen issues are still in Z2 then I have to pass. I had Xperia SP and the keyboard responds itself when my hands are sweaty. I did not encounter this on Samsung devices. They really need to improve their touchscreens. I will wait for Sony to perfect this device and fix all the issue first. I think I will go with S5 for now.

1... Sony doesn't have gorilla glass, it's Corning company to make, it's not cheap to contract, but they say that new screen is tougher than before, and yes there is a protector needed to make it side forces resistant, so the glass won't break to spider.

2. Port cover alu and policarbonate gum can handle well the weight of the phone without breaking as it was showed on prototype, and they are calculated for 6,000 openings and closings to be still waterproof.

The new screen is IPS LCD LED so it's nothing like sony made before, no blurs, over brights, color lieing, and wery good colors from aside watching.

But I noticed one bug, or two... the first sony said it to be snapdragon 801, now they write snapdragon 800 on the side, and qualcom seems to agree that AB processor is 800, and Galaxy's V has the AC sign processor to be the real qualcomms 801 series. Did they change specs for a week before launching?
Another bug comes to battery, people that tested had 3200mAh accus, and now sony says "no less than 3000mAh" WTH? How to now which release will you get from the shop not actually seeing the specs on the box? Same price? different specifications? You can easly overpay getting the 3000mAh with slower CPU, while your friend will get the 3200 and 801 CPU for the same price!

The question isn't simply if hardware issues have been solved (most likely not). The problem remains Sony's handliong of issues. Lies, coverups, arrogance,.. just a long line of garbage like behavior.

It isn't a company one can expect normal warranty service from. It is as if warranty does not exist and products

are faulty. And you waste your time arguing with all sort of resistance levels trying to get them to sort things out.

I still have a Z which is a coaster for my mugs now, after only giving about 3 months of use as a phone.

Just an information I found on the internet about how they check on waterproof-ness, whether or not its manufacturing fault or just human error.
