Yesterday and without any reason suddenly my xperia l stopped having connectivity with my mobile network. Few hours later it worked for couple minuets and then stopped again ever since

I tried switching the phone off and on again, tried removing the sim card and installing another one that works with another provider, I used the original sim card on another phone and it worked perfectly, put it again in my experia l but it still got no signal at all

I tried to switch the network preferences to manual searching mode several times but the phone did not respond and kept on working on the automatic mode.

I finally restored the phone to factory settings but the problems still exist ,, it wouldn't get coverage and it wouldn't switch to manual mode

it's just 3 months old

Hi AZZA,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I am sorry to hear about the issues you have had with the device, I first suggest trying to perform a software repair on the device using PC Companion.

PC Companion repair

To repair the phone software

1. Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support

2. In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.

3. Under Phone Software Update, click Start.

4. Click repair phone.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

If this does not work, then I can only suggest that you get the handset to a repair agent. Please use the link below to contact Sony Xperia Care directly.

Contact US

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you Jake

I tried that too but the PC companion doesn't read the device. I use the original Sony cable

and I tried with another laptop ... It's not working at all

@AZZA,

Try to fix your phone software using Sony Update service (make sure that the battery charged at least 60 % before you start)

Sony Update Service

Cheers.

When you perform the repair, are you turning the handset off and making sure that it is not connected until the final step?
