xperia tx experiencing difficulties after update

Since I have installed the software update on my xperia tx , I have come across a lot of problems and my phone is almost unusable..
The screen just turns itself off every couple of ninutes and takes about 30sec-1min to get the screen back up. or If it doesn't come back I have to restart by taking out the battery.
Sometimes it restarts itself .
Sometimes it can't load my photos from any album .
The processor over heats ( almost to hot to handle)
I experience extreme lag with all apps . Which means I can't play any games .
The headphone jack doesn't register my earphones anymore ..
My email box comes up showing I have new mail but then I cant access any .
My battery which has always had a short life span, now im lucky to get a full hour .
It has taken me 3 times as long to write this then normal .

I dont undetstand , everything was working fine before the update . I really love this phone and don't want to lose my data .
Any help would be great 🙂

If you experience the same behavior in safe mode I suggest that you try to reinstall/repair the software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".
