    <description>&lt;P&gt;my xperia tipo doesnt detects the headphones. when i switch it off and then plug the headphones and then &amp;nbsp;switch on the phone again, then it automatically detects the headphones..but there arises one more problem, when i plug out the ehadphones, i do not hear any sound in my phone, as if the headphone is still plugged in. &amp;nbsp;and this problem continues untill i restart my phone back again.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can anyone please help me ? my warranty period has expired.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;You can try to clear data for Smart Connect under settings &amp;gt; apps &amp;gt; Smart Connect &amp;gt; clear data. Turn off the phone and remove the battery for a while.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You can also try with another headset.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If the issue persists I would suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.sonymobile.com/update" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://www.sonymobile.com/update&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone &amp;gt; Start on Update the phone/tablet software &amp;gt; Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".&lt;/P&gt;
