That's strange. Have/could you try with another headset to see if you experience the same behavior?

whenever i connect my headphone to the phone google now opens up. its mic and play/pause button not working but the mic and play/pause button working fine on other phone.

the weather widget frequently shows wrong animations. in the night its showing its still sunny, when i tap it to refresh then again sunny weather when its dark outside and also shows cloudy sky or raining even when it is a clear sky.

And lastly the very annoying mobile data connection dropout. it happens 3-4 times in a day. on the status bar it shows the outgoing data sign but the incoming data signs constantly blinks. at this time mobile data is not working and after constant blinking the "E" icon goes away but mobile data still on. After a minutes the icon comes back and data is working.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

First of all check if you have any event in Smart Connect that may trigger Google Now when the headset connects.

Is the headset a Sony headset or is it from a 3rd party manufacturer?

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

You can also try with another SIM card to see if the behavior is related to the SIM/network.

Tried another headset, still google now opens and the headset play/pause button doesn't work. Whichever headset i connect problem remains the same even when the headsets are working on other phones.

Strange. Try to blow down the 3,5 mm contact to remove any kind of dirty etc to see if you experience any differences. Otherwise I would suggest that you have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
