SONY BEHAVIOR / Microphone problem on Z1

I have a xperia Z1 since 3 month. At the beginning it works like a charm.

Suddenly, when i'm on call, my interlocutor can't hears me anymore.:smileyshocked:

If i toggle on speaker he can hear me again...

After call assistance, i brought it to the service center where they tell me that it was a problem with the dedicated mic wich reduce ambient noise.

They flash the phone, nothing better, so send it to repair...

Come back 15 days later....Problem NOT SOLVED.:smileyangry:

This time i decided to brought it to my operator (Bouygues Télécom - French) where i have bought it.

They noticed the problem, and send it (again) to sony repair center.

I have to wait one more time, probably 15 days....

I don't think this is normal behavior from sony towards their client........

I'm waiting for a contact and of course to get my phone back, hope it works this time....

It may have been that you had Microphone noise supression enabled which can have this effect

Yes it was since the first day, and i work the first two month.

Of course i've try to disable it... No difference !

I actually agree.. When i'm in a call i've been told my voice cuts, lowers volumes etc.. Can it have anything to do with water damage to the microphone? (Mine has been under water for 5 seconds one time when it was brand new, and everything was perfectly closed)

I write with a translator, so sorry for mistakes. Xperia z1 is designed so that it has two microphones. During a call, when your hands are full and you're holding the phone shoulder (so do all) second microphone is closed and the source can not hear anything.
When you disable the noise reduce function is necessary to completely turn off the second microphone on the backside of the device. I can not normally talk on the phone when my hands are busy.Its a developments mistake.

Deactivating the second mic of z1 is the desired outcome. Most of z1 users during a call with speakerphone activated are speaking to themselves. The aforementioned fact is good, because sometimes we say things we regret, as much as regrettable is a purchase of a 599 euro phone that does everything but calls. I will buy a real singer's mic and use it.
