UK O2 4.4.2 update

Hi all,

I got no message on the phone (like usual) and no sign in the update centre (last checked Monday) but I plugged my phone into my pc this evening and it told me I could update build to 14.3.A.0.681. I'm no expert so just thought it would do some things behind the scenes to fix bugs etc. Anyway turns out it was an update to Kitkat:smileyhappy: As I had no idea that it was available for my device in my region on my network I thought I'd post this incase others on the O2 network pay monthly in the UK want to upgrade.

Could be that this well know and I'm the last to upgrade inwhich case someone just delete this thread!

In a nutshell yes

I'm a Generic UK user number 1276-0875 - It was mainly for other users/members who have generic handsets and were thinking this was an update for all of the UK

Not that I need it as I manually flashed my phone to 4.4.2 and then rooted it

Take your pick for other country's 4.4.2 firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469191 - as said above the update the member received was for a branded o2 phone - Generic like myself don't have it

Thanks for the quick responce mate.

The problem I have is that i'm scared to even attempt to flash to kitkat considering this is a contract phone and wouldn't like to mess this up. Not sure why i'm like that since I don't have a problem overclocking PC's and messing with the bios side on my PC lol
