Sony Xperia M Going To Get Android 4.4 Kitkat Soon

Great news for users of Sony Xperia M and M Dual. I contacted Sony today and I was informed that the model (c1904) and (c1905) , and M dual also ,will receive Android 4.4 kit kat soon. A big Thanks to Sony. Yes, your device will receive the Android 4.4 version of Kit Kat.

We are very happy to hear that from Sony, I think Android 4.4 Kit Kat is the last update for Sony Xperia M.

PeterPatricks, until isn't official information (for example in http://blogs.sonymobile.com) all talks about KitKat for Xperia M we can appreciate like rumors By the way i contacted with Sony too... they don't have any information about KitKat software for Xperia M So guys i don't know where did u got this information (that u wrote from Sony is not mean trust, coz isn't any proof, any official information, just words which i just can appreciate like rumors) , but don't appreciate like trust information

Great! But the thing is... are we able to move our apps 2 sd card after the update??? This is the only problem with this phone...

No Sony except Xperia C cannot move apps to SD ( newer devices).

its shame on sony keeps on updating high end phones how about budget phones like M,L.xperia Z,ZL,ZR have tasted all versions of android right from 4,1 to 4.4.2 but L,M have stuck at 4.2 and4.3 why dont u upgrade these to 4.4 shame on u my next phone wouldn't be from sony its gonna be either motorola or LG.I insist all users to avoid buying sony mobiles waste of time and money

Yes but I know that if they don't update this phone when it has 6 months left on its software support lifespan and kitkat was released last year and lollipop is shortly being released, I won't be trusting Sony in the future and won't be buying any of their products again so making money is long term as well as short term

I recently contacted some Sony officials about future or current plans for upgrading Xperia M to KitKat, and this was their answer:

"We can advise that at this current moment in time there are no plans to have the 4.4 operating system rolled out for the Xperia M handset. We hope this information helps you further."
