Hi,

I've narrowed down this problem to the vibration feedback. It's driving me crazy!!! When the vibration feedback for screen touches happens it makes this weird squeaking sound like the phone is in pain.

For the moment I've switched off vibration feed for the onscreen buttons but it still happens for the keyboard. How can I switch off keyboard vibration feedback? I've reset the phone and still have the issue, it seems to have only began with the latest update a couple weeks ago and is it going to be fixed? When I paid €600 for a phone I expect silly little nuisances like this to not exist.

Hi Apocalipzs,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

With the information supplied, I can advise that this can be removed, simply do the following.

Menu > Settings > Language & Input > Select settings icon beside Xperia Keyboard > Select Sound & Vibrate > Untick Vibration on Keypress.

This will remove the vibrations from the keyboard, however if you continue to have issues with this noise, I suggest that you contact Sony Mobile Customer Care for further help.

Contact US

I hope this helps.
