Xperia SP not charging.Please help

Hi,I have a problem with my girlfriend's SP.She dropped it water yesterday.I repair mobile phones so I took the phone apart,dried it off,cleaned all the oxidation and voila..it's alive.But here is one problem.When connected it to charger,the red LED was on but only for a couple of minutes.After the phone had enough power to turn on,as soon as it booted up,the 1% battery went to 0% and it turned off. So i though,ok, i'm gonna use an universal phone battery charger to get it to a decent percentage.

Got the battery a good 10% the put it back into the phone,booted up,then put it on charge.The battery level was rising every few second,obviously too fast.It got up to 25% then it started slowly going down (still connected to charger)

Now when i put the phone on charge,it shows the lightning bolt on the battery but the percentage does not rise.Also when i go to setting to check the battery status,it it "Status:Not charging"

Any ideas? I am using the original wall charger.All it does now when i connect after it suts dow,it just shows the battery on the screen for a few seconds and the dies.

The battery is not swolen and it does not show signs of damage.

connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 1 or 2 hours > then repair it with SUS

if that doesn't work you might have to stop by a Sony repair center

Not working.After the phone is off and put to charge,it shows the red LED and charging battery on screen for a few seconds the dies.I left it like that for an hour but din't charge more than it was..

I thing, that You should dry it once again. Properly, leave it apart for a few days in a dry and warm place. Than try again.

I ran a battery check.Don't know how accurate that was but the result was 250mAh when the battery should be 2370 mAh.I ordered a spare genuine battery,was only 4.99 anyway.I will post the result

Please be wary of using third party batteries with your handset as this can lead to damage to your product. I would advise contacting your local Xperia Care team regarding sourcing an offical replacement battery.

Fitting the new battery did the trick.The phone is perfectly working even though it had water in it.

I got the phone off eBay as used so it didn't had a warranty.That's why I didn't go to the Sony store.Also,I repair mobile phones myself so this was the best solution for me.
