Hi,

As I understand, you have to remove the Playlist using Windows media player, If you have used Windows media player to sync your music to the phone.

Hi,

Have you synced to playlists to the SD card or the internal storage?

You can try to delete the playlist using a file manager. Open file manager go to internal storage or SD card depending on where you have saved the playlist. Go the the folder Playlist > delete the file.

hi,

ive done that before.. lets say I have a advance knowledge on computer science...

ive deleted that folder lots of times, I sync my sd card, and the playlists are on the SD card, since when I remove it, all the playlists are gone, when I delete the playlist folder, only the full playlists get ereased... the empty ones are still there, ive searched for the files on my SD card but for some reason I cannot find them, at least not by searching the name of the playlists or songs on the playlists ( with advance search, so searching inside files etc...)

Well that is odd.

I don't know if you have tried this yet but you could try to clear data for media storage and also Walkman. Go to settings > apps > all > media storage/Walkman > clear data.

Restart the phone and wait for the phone to index all media files again.

If you still experience problem, you could perform a factory reset of the phone.

Before a factory reset you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253

Hi,

I've had similair problem and found easy solution. Just install Winamp from Google Play and once you open the app go to the playlist menu and there you'll be able to get rid off of your empty playlists.

I had exactly the same issue. Here is how to resolve this, on the external SD card there will be a folders called “Playlists” move this to your internal drive.

That’s it end of problem. If you later add or recreate the list just move the content of the "Playlists" folder on your external SD card to the internal drive.
