Did you say you have 200 MB of free RAM on Xperia E? That's surprising. Have you rooted your phone?
Anyway, to slow down battery drain, turn down screen brightness to about 50 %. Switch off data and Wi-Fi when you don't use them. Turn on Stamina mode and do not allow exceptions. How long does a single charge last? What app uses the battery most? Settings - Power management - Battery usage.
To reduce the lag, stop using live wallpapers, widgets, task killers and do not use more than one instant messaging apps. Avoid third party launchers unless you are sure they use less RAM than Xperia Home. Disable apps that you don't use like Email, Gmail, Facebook, YouTube, Talk or Hangout, Google plus and Google search.
