Android 4.3 update on Xperia M

So the software update alert has been bugging me to upgrade my software for a couple of weeks and I eventually did it.

What a disaster!

My problems are:

1. When awakening phone by pressing the power button. This used to wake the phone instantly. Now, it takes at least one second, sometime 5, 10 seconds or not at all.

2. The swipe down to see alerts, settings, etc. does not work. The phone locks up when I try. Sometimes, after about 5 seconds, it half swipes down then locks up and eventually disappears.

3. Everything is very very slow - apps opening, screen swiping, just everything is like eternal lag.

4. Sony PC Companiion will no longer detect the phone.

5. Battery has gone from 100% to 90% in about 10 minutes and the phone is quite warm even when doing nothing.

This is ridiculous!

I am going to try rolling back the Android version, is this possible?

My phone is practically useless overnight!

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out ourDiscussion guidelines.

I would suggest that you first of all try to reinstall the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

I hav updated to 4.3 jst a few hours ago..
Evrything is jst fine and smooth.
The only priblm i faced is i'm unable to use google now from home key like i used before in 4.1, is there something wrong or what ?

The prblm i addressed previously has been solved by restarting my phone....
So here is a quick review after upating my phone to android 4.3
Ui has been tweaked a bit, bt not much. New themes are gud..
Performance has been improved really..interface is really smooth, navigating through homescreens and menus are like buttering.
Coming to sound, it is also tweaked a bit, bt it is on gud side..
The major prblm after update is with camera performance, as i think it is on bit downside...
There is bit down in picture detailing...
Bt as i'not a photography lover, its ok for casual pics..
Now at battery performance, i think it there is not much changed...
So thats a quick review for all xperia lovers...
Update ur xperia M And enjoy....
