Bought this new Z1 Compact, leaving Iphone for a change.

When connecting my new phone to the usb-socket in my car, it pops up as "not readable".

This worked fine with Iphone (-s). It was explained to me that the phone should be put in MSC mode. Tried it, and the phones external memorycard was readable.

But what I really want, is to be able to play music from Spotify.

Also, I've tried to connect it via USB to my home audio system (Denon) and it has the same problem.

Does anybody know if this is something that can be solved?

Bluetooth is not an option since that is not supported in my car.

Thanks - pelleh67

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Xperia Z1 compact supports USB audio but it's possible that it's not compatible with the stereo device.

You can always use an AUX cable (3,5 mm) to connect your phone to a stereo device.
