It sounds like there may be a problem with the battery calibration in your phone. I recommend that you first try the suggestions in our FAQ: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Facing-problems-with-abnormal-battery-and-shutdown/m-p/320375

Hey guys many of us has complained about the new android 4.3 bugs, but it's seems like Sony is not doing anythibg about this. So My question is that, do we have to live with this buggy os or shall we get any bug free update? I'm frustrated with my TX battery performance after the new update. It doesn't run 4-5 hours and shows wrong percentage of battery while charging and while in use. If I restart the phone battery percentage shows different. e.g. When I'm using my phone if the battery percentage shows 64% and if I restart it shows 32% or 30%. What to do with this guys. Sony please answer me.

Battery seems to be draining faster after the update. Updated to 4.3 yesterday n today during office with phone on standby mostly, the battery died to 6% from a full charge with in 5 hours. It used to last day n let me surf as well. Easily 16 to 18 hours before the update. 76% taken by Android OS... Wonder what's going on

First try making a battery calibration as described in the link i posted previously. If that doesn't help, check if you have any apps waking the phone by using an app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector. You might have an installed app that's waking the phone from sleep.
