Micro SD C10 recognized but not working

Hello there,

I bought this phone yesterday and I'm facing an issue with my memory card (Verbatim 8Gb C10). The card worked and is still working with xperia Tipo.

The thing is, the card is recognized but when I try to Transfer data to SD card, it always says Transfer Interupted.
I also tried to take a picture and store it in SD card, but with no success.

Funny thing though, I put memory card of class 6 or below, and work without problems (transfer files and can save pictures to it).

The thing is that it's a shame the card to work with low ranged phone like Tipo and not with mid-ranged SP.
To record and save FullHD video the phone needs at least card from class 10.

So is it something wrong with my device or ?

Also to mention, with the incoming update (4.3) it would be nice to have an option to transfer apps and games to SD card.

There might be compatibility issues,nothing wrong with your device.I have seen that sony devices having problems with samsung,kingston,verbatim cards,even with sony cards.

I also forgot to mention I tried with Samsung 32Gb C10. Same issue.

I know it must be frustrating.Apps cannot be moved to SD unfortunately,the option is not available.There are few that allow their storage to be hold on the SD card.Have you tried low level formatting the card before using it?

the card is nt the best for the sp to get no interuptions , try to get sdxc card works like a charm i use the 64gd sdxc without any issues

I've tried everything. I formated using PC, with standard format option and also using MiniPartionTool, but no success.
I've tried formating using phone, but nothing.
I also did low level formatin using HDDLLF.4.30 software program, but that didin't help either.

How so? When officially SP supports only up to 32gb. Also, SDXC is exFat filesystem. I think SP doesn't support that either. So how come you can use it flawlessly ?

I do not think it is up to SDHC or SDXC,there are compatibility issues...

I used the regular type when I first got my SP and it gave same issues but since I got sdxc not one issue since July last year and I think the Chinese made cheap SD cards also have faults being compatible with this device

No way man to purchase $50 memory card with chance of not working..

I'm waiting some response from Sony on this matter.

I assure you it works I've been using it since July with no faults works like a charm if the c10 SD card is not working , I assure you its inferior that's why its not working with you device

From the video I can see that it's formatting of the card is actually pretty fast. In my case is not. It even restarts the phone.

3 days and still no response from Sony...
I've asked on my local gsm forum and talked with some SP users and one of them told me that he also had verbatim 8gb C10 which was not working, then bought a new one, sandisk 16gb C10 and had no problem at all.
