My phone wont turn on after failed update

Hi,
I have a Xperia S 32gb and i had updated my phone to 6.2.B.0.0 and it was working well , i wanted to update my cell to 6.2.B.1.96 and i did as the PC companion asked me to do.
after the download completes the installation goes to almost 20 % and stops and says cannot complete.
after that i thought chuck it lemme use my phone but its not switching on.
A grey triangle with a wrench and screwdiver crossed symbol appears and a loading bar starts but it stops after a while and the phone is hung there.
if i switch it off it reboots and sony screen appears but does not boot at all.
i tried repair even that fail.

even here the download starts and finishes completely but during installation stops and says connot update/ install try again or close.
even if i try again it still doesnt work !!!!!!!
PLZ HELP
i've got data on my phone which i need very badly ! and i had the contacts saved but does it save in internal memory or SDCard ?

should i wait for it or is there some other way also ???

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I'm sorry to hear. Do you still have this triangle? If yes, I suggest that you connect the phone to the charger and let it lay for an hour or two to see if the unit powers on correctly afterwards.

well i did let it stay on for 2-3 hours like suggested in that thread but now its not charging nor turning on just red light turns on once i connect it !
but after connecting if i switch it on it goes to sony menu and keeps reeboting but not switching off either. even when i try to kill power from switch off and volume + button !!

Plz help guys !!!!
at first it went to 70% and stopped

Now it doesnt go to 20% also and my cell is off only red ligt comes once i put it for charge even on mainchareger/wall charger !

Keep it charging for 1 hour,reinstall update with sony update service.

its not chrging at all budyy !!!!!
only red lght comes and IF after an hour the cell turns on to sony then it can be hard reset but then again i have to wait for another hour once i remove chrger or from usb on computer
i've downloaded all new software so help me !!!!

can i flash my cell even if my personal data goes ?
how do i do it without turning on my cell(coz its not switching on ) !

Sony update service does not need it to be on,but it depends how much battery you still have(it needs 60% for the updatto go fine).Try and repair with sony update service.

Well even to put it on SUS.
i need to click the volume Down button and insert.
its not detecting that also !

after i do that also only red light comes nothing else !!

Are you connecting with volume down when it tells you?Try 2-3 times.

Try on another computer,it might be internet issue for you.

great, i have the same problem and all we can do is take it to the store....yeah only 50 km away in the wrong direction i gotta go to work tomorrow. thanks a bunch:smileyangry:
