Exchange ActiveSync, “Could not open connection to server”

I have recently bought Xperia L and have updated it with all possible updates (4.4.4 & 15.3.A.0.26)

I am facing issue while trying to configure my work emails with this phone. We have exchange 2010 with our orgnization as have other Android devices are working fine on this as well. after entring accounting details It checks for incomming server settings for a while and the gives a message “Could not open connection to server”

Settings I am putting in are verified. Even Phone give error about incorrect username and password (If supplied incorrent)

Coudl you please help on this.

you need to enable imap4 feature from ur mail acc setting
for eg i hav an account on Gmail.
to access it on any application etc you need to login frm pc website
go to setting
there U'll see imap4 (by default disabled)
jst enable it
hope i solved ur problem..

Exchange server doesn't use IMAP so no this won't solve the issue.

Hi,

I finally observed that the problem was not with device but was with user ID rather. Please check event logs on you exchange server and try to search for user ID, who is facing problem. You may please refer following links for further details:
