The oldest software showed a comma button on the top left corner of the alphanumeric keyboard followed by a button with all kinds of punctuation which dropped a period to the screen after just one touch. The latest software update changed this and turned the comma button into a period button leaving everything else unchanged, which means that now we have two buttons that, when touched once, drop a period to the screen, something I find repetitive and less productive to text messaging. I suggest this should be changed in the next update.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. I will pass this on internally.

You can remove the keys for period and comma from the keyboard if you like. Go to settings > language and input > settings icon to the right of Xperia keyboard > symbols and smileys > period and comma.

Alexander, the solution you just used applies only to the qwerty keyboard. My suggestion mentioned the alphanumeric keyboard. Is there any way I can use a similar method but adaptable to this kind of keyboard?
