Message alert and notification

Hi,

I am not getting any notifications or alerts when i get new messages in Xperia z1 handset.

Please help. I tried changing Messages settings but still not working.

Are you using the preinstalled messaging application? If yes, go to Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Messaging > Make sure that "Show notifications" is marked. You could also try to clear data for this application.

Hi this is vijay, even i am having the same problem in Xperia Z and i am using pre installed messaging application only and my "show notification" in settings menu is also checked. But still i am not receiving any notification if i receive any new messages and also i am not even getting the notification tone.

kindly help
