Sony Xperia E hanging problem partially solved

I bought Sony Xperia E on November 4th and this mobile performs good in all ways .

It works good with Whatsapp, Wechat,Bbm,Facebook and its messenger without any lags . but lags when I install Viber Because you it has only 512 mb of ram so we cannot except much out of it .

But after I Updated my Phone to the latest Firmware (11.3.A.2.13) it started to lag ..

Whenever I locked my screen and open it after sometime maybe an hour it would lag or gets stuck at the homescreen for more than a minute ..it was too bad for me .. i searched throughout the internet for solutions for this problem and all of them pointed for rooting the phone !!! which i dont like because it voids the warranty . but it worked well in safe mode . I called up the Sony Service centre they told me to reinstall the phone software which would fix the problem.. if it is not corrected they told that it may be a hardware problem ...

tried reinstalling the software and installed all my apps which is mentioned above and again the phone started to hang after the locking the phone.

after somedays after going to 3 service centres i came to know that the new update (11.3.A.2.13) takes a bit of extra ram maybe a 40 mb which effects the apps to run properly . To fix this lagging problem i reinstalled the phone software and Installed Specific apps and moved the movable apps to internal storage ( NOTE : you can install many apps as you want but some apps use a lot of ram which slows down your device ....) i removed bbm which uses about 50 mb of ram minimum and i used only Apps which use low amount of ram like (Whatsapp , wechat , Fb messemger ) and additionally i am using Instagram Skydrive and Skype which i logout frequently so that is not a problem and games such as Angry birds starwars , space , Temple Run 1,2 and fruit Ninja and 1 big ram **bleep** appp Facebook !!! by using these app i didnt get any lag for the past 10 days now i am happy with it the solution is to remve some of the big ram users app Like ( BBM,VIBER etc) this will give space for the system UI and the Launcher to work properly which makes your phone rum properly If you want BBm or Viber you may have to remove other apps like Wechat , facebook then you can install them . its not a problem with your phone .its the problem with app which uses a lot of ram . to Check out which app uses a lot of RAm got to settings --- apps -- slide to memory and if you want and detailed list install Clean Master app.. Rooting does not void warranty
Unlocking bootloader does (applies only to Sony phones I think)
I rooted my device
still it doesn't fix the issue perfectly
Only way to completely fix is to install rooms (warranty voids & I haven't done it)
In jelly bean, one only uses 50% of the actual speed xperia e has
Sony guys somehow managed to f*** it up

Yeah! we need the full speed out of it ... In Chennai India they say that rooting voids your phone warranty .

sometimes it is ok but other times cant manage it

I donnt want to root as i have not done it before

Hey guys..

i too had dat problem.my xperia e lagged while unlocking screen and even sometimes while in call..

So atlast i had to root my phone..

but the rooting doesnt helps you directly..you have to install cpu spy or some other app that would enable u to overclock or change the clockspeed of the cpu..

chose 1008mhz(1.08ghz) as option.

Also install root browser and using that uninstall all the useless and nonsence system apps like sony live retail demo app and other. but be carefull not to uninstall important apps or your phone may brick.

this procedure would free some space of internal memory and yes,it does void your warrentee.

but hellloooo!!! wats the use of warrentee if the sony guys cant fastenup your phone..

Rooting doesnt void your hardware warrentee,but your software.

but yes unlocking bootloader does void your hardware warrentee.. SO DONOT UNLOCK BOOTLOADER!!!

can you give me proper links to root my sony xperia e ( good links )

i can't risk brikking my phone .so if you could give me the links for Steps,guide , and procedure to root the phone

Sony Xperia E cause i like that phone and i want the most uot of it ..

For now my lagging problem is solved my removing some apps as mentioned above in the first post . but still i need those apps . they are also important to me .

then connect your phone to pc and select Root Device(All method)

after rooting restart your phone and install root browser which could be downloaded from play store

delete some system app form /system/app directory

then download cpu spy also from play store.

yup the rooting worked..my device is now faster than before and i use it without any complain..

there are many advantages..

u can tweak with system app change the way the phone's ui looks n much more

i changed the theme and now the xperia original theme has a picture as its background(the theme background that u see in contact phone settings etc) its awsum!!!!

other than the background running apps one more thing that is responsible for hanging is the extend standby mode if you turn it on the phone hangs for a while just after unlocking.

I don't know about the new stamina mode as I have not updated yet

Facebook is the main culprit.... I recently did a Sony pc companion repair & I haven't signed in to Fb yet... And the phone is quite smooth
I use watsapp, twitter, Google +, Instagram currently but they all run just fine together

Ok I will root and let you know..!!! See Facebook Isa not a problem cause Im using fb,fb messenger,whatsapp,viber,g+,instagram and games it's not lagging but if I install bbm or wechat it lags

no man..its not a lucky screenshot..
n its not wallpaper..

when u have finished installing root browser,u can see the theme apk in system/vendor/overlay/firmware folder

copy the ak to ur external card and in ur pc oen it using winzip..

go to res/drawable-land-mdpi and replace semc_bg.png with the image u want of same resolution (see for the resolution of original image and convert the image u want)

when u have finished converting,replace the original image in apk file

now follow the same step for drawable-mdpi folder(replace semc_bg.png with image u want of same resolution and format)

NB- donot i say again DONOT follow these ste by extracting..Replace the image by just copying the custom image to the apk RAR ..u dont have resorces to re-comress the ak file which needs android sdk

after replacing the images relace the original theme in system/vendor/overlay/firmware folder and if it asks or overright and superuser permission, just select yes.

then click the replaced theme and install it

(If it says error installing,its ok)

now reboot ur phone and select the theme and u r done!!
