topic safe mode in XPERIA archive

Thank you for any help you can provide. I love my xperia L but I am having problems with it. The screen freezes and then the phone restarts, it happens all the time now. The phone will be on standby and I will start it up and before I choose a shortcut it will restart. The phone works absolutely fine in safe mode but I am worried that I will harm the phone if I keep using it in safe mode.

I have tried deleting games that I have downloaded but the problems continues. I can use all the apps that I have downloaded in safe mode and it all works fine in safe mode but as soon as I return to normal operation the problem re occurs. I have connected the phone to PC companion and it says I have uptodate software. I haven't yet tried to reset the phone although i have backed up my contacts etc as I am worried something will go wrong and I will lose some of my photo messages.

Will I harm the phone if I keep it in safe mode?

Do you think resetting the phone through pc companion will fix the problem?

Is there anything else you can suggest?

Thank you so much for your help. I am a new android phone user and this problem is frustrating me.

If you are using any task killers or battery savers, remove them. They could interfere with your phone.Staying in safe mode will not affect your phone, but you cannot really enjoy it.And yes,I would suggest a software repair with sony update service.

Thank you for your reply. I have connected to PC companion and carried out a reset so time will tell. Certainly things appear different. I had switched on xperia's own power stamina app so would you keep that switched off? I am now worried to start customising the phone again and using the games as I don't know what happened in the first place.

The inbuilt stamina mode is very good, you do not need 3rd party battery savers.I assure you that you will see improvements.
