Screen blacks out as soon as I Dial a number please help :(

My Phone was working great loved it BUT now.

The screen just blacks out as soon as I press the call button.

It connects and you can talk but cannot touch any numbers when it comes to some of the automated messages to service providers or place a call on hold or conference or any thing.

It comes back on once the call is disconnected.

Earlier it used to do this when it came near the ear which was a nice way to sense the proximity but now as soon as a call starts it just blacks out.

Please help I am having a lot of problems.

Do you have a flip case that could be covering the proximity sensor?or any other case.

Yes i do have a flip case but i do not close it while i dail the umbers or while i am on the phone.

Just remove it,see how the phone does.
