I have already and the answer was:

"Sorry you feel that way, but we would not be able to guarantee that we would be able to return a phone by a specific date. There would not be anything further I would be able to advise I'm afraid."

Stock answers that give no help! Lots of "sorrys" but no flexiblilty like suggesting a courier could be organised to speed things up.

I have sent my phone is for repairs, it was return still not functioning properly, so I have sent the phone in for repair again. I am going to to be away for a while and asked to have the phone back before I go. I have asked if there is any way to get it back and the stock response is 'unfortunately we are unable to guarantee that, sorry'. I would have expected that there are ways, courier instead of post. The repair centre has displayed that my phone has been awaiting final testing for 3 days. If I dont get it back in time I will have to buy a new phone. This seems crazy that nobody is willing to help.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I suggest that you raise this with your local support team to check status and how to proceed with this in the best possible way.
Local support.

If your phone is not functioning properly, you should try to use flashtool. http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/

You will have to download :

1. Flashtool - http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/

2. 4.1.b.0.587 kernel - http://www.4shared.com/file/UkWY6V8K/ST18i_41B0587_Kernel.html

Well, all the instructions to this came from this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118343

I know this may seem out of topic but it helped me alot when my phone got stuck in the logo startup.
