If your card is still not detected, try a low level format, you might get back your card, but all your files will be gone..

Hi,

I received a notification for new "Album 5.3.A.0.22 update available", I went ahead & downloaded Album using Wifi, got updated successfully.

First thing that happens after this is, while saving a picture from camera, message flashes of unmount SD card. What I see next is memory card is gone. Now I've lost my 32GB card with all data in it.

Is there any way to get this fixed within phone itself, I don't have a microSD card reader.

Is Sony aware of this issue ?

G

the album apps shouldn't affect the sd card, it might be a defective SD card, do you have another phone or tablet to test it with?

Hi,

Thanks for your response however I read many forums threads where people are complaining about memory card crashes with xperia Z.

It is very unbelievable coincidence that a good 32GB Transcend card which was working for almost an year, got crashed just after "Album" update & that too as said, memory card disappeared while photo was clicked & it was trying to store on card. (I assume Album update would be having some relation here)

I tested that memory card in another handset however card is no more detecting so I would believe its fried completely .. I am gonna buy a micro SD reader to test further with some recovery software. I can't get card to detect in phone anyways so formatting is not an option.

Gaurav
