Same problem here. We have weak signal at home, but even if I get to well covered area the phone still shows "No signal" until restart. It really bothers me.

The phone is 2 weeks old and has newest updates installed.

Changing network mode didn't help either.

The same happens to my other phone with different sim card (Xperia Active). But Xperia Active at least finds signal after switching "flight mode" on and off.

Sounds strange!

Have you updated your phones to the latest software using PC Companion?

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

Try to change network mode from LTE/WCDMA/GSM to WCDMA/GSM to see if you experience any difference. Go to settings > more > mobile network > network mode.

If the behavior is the same I suggest that you try with another SIM card in your phone.

Hi everybody!!!! I Can say that this problem is a flaw Sony firmware Android 4.1.2 for Sony Xperia V.Данную problem is practically impossible to eliminate: reflashing Sony PC Companion or Update Service helps temporarily,as well as rebooting the аппарата.Мне sometimes makes you this way: in the calls menu, dial *#*#4636#*#* opens the tools menu (hereinafter strictly as I point) choose in the phone information lowering turning find below the set the preferred network type select the LTE/CSM/WCDMA and click the Home button.:smileysmileywink:

Jumping in with the same issue - Xperia V is 1 week old, however, several times a day it loses a network. Note that signal level on a screen shows perfect connection and I can make a calls... but no one can reach me. Scrap. And two more problems: charging indicatior shows everything even mid-summer temperature on Mars, but not an actual charge level (and besides of it, % of charge displayed jumps up and down randomply even if phone has all services off and SIM card removed) and people I'm calling always hear me with gaps and rumbling

Bump. No ideas? Maybe that's a manufacturers' flaw? If yes, could you please send me an official e-mail with confirmation, so I'll be able to return my phone back to the shop and get a refund?

First of all you should try to change the network mode. If you still experience the problem you should try with another SIM card.

If this doesn't work you should have the phone examined at a service center. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:
