topic Sony Xperia L - battery drain issue (with some research done) in XPERIA archive

Hello,

In general I am quite satisfied with the Xperia L smartphone, but it has one annoying issue, that existed in the 0.26 software, and is still present on the 1.14 - the battery drain issue.

I have tried to track down this issue, and the responsible application is "Phone". Sometimes it just keeps its' "Data Dormacy" wake lock on for very long periods of time, preventing the phone from entering the "Deep Sleep" mode (where battery consumption is the smallest). This in turn, causes the phone to drain all battery in less than one day, while usually I am able to keep the phone running for about 48h.

I hoped that this issue would be fixed in subsequent updates, but it apparently is not.

Regarding the applications I use - I do not believe they caused this, as I have disabled the G+, facebook, and others. Only thing that is synchronizing is my e-mail. Besides - the phone usually works well for a week or so, and then suddenly this bug appears, eating some 30% of battery overnight for example.

This issue pretty common, at least between users from Poland.

If your developers need any more details about this issue, I would be happy to provide them (I am programmer myself - I can handle really difficult stuff).

Best regards
