Just bought the phone about 4-5 days ago. updated it immediately to .254 before using it and im having problems with it waking up. sometimes when i press the power button once, the screen just remains blank but the backlight seems to be lighting up. it takes about 2 or more presses of the power button before it returns back to normal. I just want to know if this is a software issue or a hardware issue and if there is anything i could do to fix this. Thanks in advanced.

Its a known software issue, this is connected with the animation glitch. If you look closely, when you press the power button to lock, the screen will become black first and then only the backlight is off.So its that black screen is showed after pressing the Power Button and the display weren't showed during this phase.

Don't worry, everyone faces this and its a software glitch rather than a hardware problem.

ohhhhh thank you for that. i thought it was a hardware thing. i guess ill just hang on to the phone until the next update. hopefully they would be able to address this issue. thats my only complaint.
