The screen shown at anytime to have used 65% is normal. But just tap on the battery graph in the Battery usage screen and you will see a more detailed graph with information on when the screen was on, and when the phone was in sleep and was awake. If your phone was staid awake during a large part of the night, then some program was probably running in the background keeping the phone awake, it could be social networking apps, antivirus, task killer, third pary alarm clock, etc.

Check the battery usage statistics at Settings--Power management--Battery usage. See which apps have used the battery most. Also read this FAQ page to know more on reducing battery usage: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Battery-time-and-enhancement-features/m-p/347874#U347874

Turning mobile data is going to be safe, you just won't be connected to the internet, but will save battery. Using wireless will consume battery. And yes, there are a lot of services and apps on Xperia phone that can be safely disabled (that is, if you don't use them). You might want to look at this XDA forum page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487073
