I can't use call log and message notifications on sbh52 after 4.3 android update. I even reset factory settings my z1. And also I can't turn off text to speech function on sbh52. I need you to fix this problem ASAP.

Hey I had the same/similar issues on my Z Ultra GPe. The issue is not the adroid update it is the Smart connect update. For some reason it will not launch SBH52 app. I did some testing and I was able to correct the issue by using Live Manager 3.3.10. Here is a link to the apk. Live Manager 3.3.10 APK

This apk has my SBH52 running great. I hope this helps.

What happened when you tried to install the application?

The application is an older version of the one that you have now that does not work.

Here are screen shots that I just took with it running on my phone. You can see the SBH52 app in the top left. The first shows my phone's info. You will see that my phone is running 4.4.2. The second shows that I have the apk (Live Ware 3.3.10) installed.

My android version is 4.3 now. sbh52 was working great while the version was android 4.2. After update it is not working.

I clicked the link, downloaded and click to install. but there is just an alert, "application is not installed". just it.

Do you have install from unknown sources turned on?

Go to the link directly, http://apps.goodereader.com/android-apps/internet-and-communication/?did=2536. The orange download button will download the apk to your pc. Then put it on your phone and try to install it. It should work. ***Remove the current version and any app extensions from your phone first.

I let to install from unknown sources. I disabled smart connect. I uninstalled sbh52 software. I downloaded via laptop nd copied into my z1. still there is same alert. "Application not installed". Should I have to reinstall 4.2 android to my phone? MEantime your screeshots arent viewing.

there is an alert before installing. "retrieve running applications". Which applications should I retrieve? I unninstalled sbh52 sowtware nd disabled smart connect and also let to install from unknown source.

Are you not able to remove smart connect? I know that it comes pre installed on Xperia devices. If you can remove it that would be best. It is probably blocking the apk from installing. See if it lets you uninstall updates.

I bought the phone and accesories 2 weeks ago. I didnt need to check other applications outside play store, yet. Sorry but ur screenshots arent viewing again. there are triangels instead of pictures.

Okay. Are you on your phone? I get the same issue with the pictures on my phone using chrome as my browser. Does your Smart Connect give you the ability to uninstall updates?

I m on laptop. nd not viewing the pics. There is just smart connect updates uninstalling. Nd There is no uninstall option for all smart connect. Just disable it.

Don't allow it to update and see if that version will work. I gave my findings to a chat support agent earlier. I don't know if they are able to send you an older version of the app. If that works, turn off updates for the app.

Screenshot show that your are running kitkat (4.4.2) on a Xperia Z ultra Google Edition (without any Sony pre-installed software) and the thread is about application crashes just after after Official Sony Androïd 4.3 update.

Not sure if your suggestions fully apply to the context.

For example did you have also the application crash when trying to off text to speech function ?
