Z1 NOT.SYNCING WITH SMART TV

I cannot seem to sync my Z1 with my Sony tv kdlnx40723.

I have.tried.all the options on the phone Google

I am constantly asked.for.a.pairing code that I cannot.find

To make things worse, on the TV I cannot even just sign into YouTube as.I am asked.for a.user id and pin.

I have been onto Sony support who just do not.understand the problem.

I.also cannot.play videos.from the.phone onto the.tv. Which seems.a.joke as.I have videos which are.free.I just cannot watch them

Wish I could.explain more
The tv has the latest updates I.almost think it's now.not.compatible with the.phone, but it's only 1 year old.

Ironically I was at a friends.house.they had.a.Samsung.tv and the connection needed no codes no effort whatsoever, I was able to play YouTube content easily over the wifi

Should have said the.problem is.with YouTube pairing.

Hi what kind of connection did you select when you connect TV with your phone?

usually, I use screen mirroring when I want to watch on-line video streaming. And use throw when view the pictures or videos saved in phone.

Sometimes I meet connection problem too, but the problem can be resoved when I restart the phone or router.

And I cancelled "auto-select wireless option" in Throw settings.

My TV is Bravia KDL-47W800A.

Within the YouTube settings there is a : in the top right corner. Its actually 3 dots.

Under settings you can General / Connected TVs / Seach / Preloading / Captions / About

When I click the Connected TV's it comes up with Add TV. I then click this and it asks for a pairing code. I do not know the pairing code, nor can I find it on the TV.

The throw system whilst slow works for pictures. Videos play, but its a little slow and not sure I can be bothered, but the You Tube is something I use.

Previously I was logged into YouTube on the TV via my email and password. In my attempts to find the pairing code I signed out, thinking it was something related to the login.

Now the login on the TV for YouTube asks for a User ID and Pin Code. Again, I have never used a user ID or Pin code with YouTube. I cannot find these settings anywhere on the YouTube account.

I have been searching online and it seems Im not the only person with the problem.

Have today managed to sign into YouTube via the TV.

I tried this again today, as over the weekend the TV did request an update.

Perhaps the changes were made then, not sure.

At least im halfway there. I can live without the phone syncing, its just it feels as thou it should not be this difficult. In fact I know its not that difficult because I sync with my friends Samsung tv by just accessing the wifi at his house. When I signed into YouTube on the phone there was this little button on the screen asking me to play on the device. Was so simple.

These are the typical videos online, which seems simple but I do not have these options on my TV.

Should I have these options?
