Text messaging problems - scrambled messages and messaging not being received

Hi there

Would be really grateful if someone could help with this. Had the Xperia Mini Pro Sk17i for about a year now and it works fine apart from the following problem. I am not always receiving text messages and sometimes when I received a long message off someone it is either scrambled (sometimes my phone combines a new text with parts of an old text!) or just has parts missing. Even when I ask the person to resend a scrambled text I still don't receive it properly.

This has caused me some real problems as people have thought I am ignoring them when I just haven't got their texts! This is happening a lot more with my partner than anyone else. I changed networks and it's still happening and it doesn't happen to anyone else when my partner texts them, so I am convinced it is my phone.

Can anyone please help? If I can't resolve this gonna have to buy a new phone!

Sorry to hear about your problems. I suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone".

Do not make a backup of your SMS since you might restore the problem when you restore the backup of the SMS.
