Stream movies from laptop to phone

Hi all,

I am new to this, I found that I could stream movies to my Xperia from my Laptop.

I couldn't see that it was listed as a device that was also connected to the same wifi network, however when I checked my network settings the router does show that they are both connected. I have changed my windows 7 file settings to allow for files and printers etc to be discovered.

I really at am odds on what to do?

If someone could post step by step instructions on how to do this, I would be most grateful :D.
