ELM changes needed

Hi, i want to leave a feedback for the next firmware on elm.

Radio options: Enable volum buttons to change radio post.

Music options: Here needed to change the driver, because elm is not a phone for music, the sound are horrible.

Camera: Just change the driver needs, get some stripes when it's nightoutside.

Widgets: Work very very slow, and are inutil. Add a function to add any widget. or compatibility for android widgets.

GPS: Please add compatibility for Google maps 5. or same gps app with offline maps.

Browser: This need a flash player for streaming

These are changes that I would like to bee in the next firm, if someonehas something to say, please specify.

I would also like to add my comments about changes needed on the elm.

1. the email and exchange syncronsiation isnt push supported at all. I have tried numerous times and it says it has recognised that push email is available, but they arent pushed even when my gmail is set up on imap. messages just clog up and have to check manually to download a days worth of messages

2. please speed up. i realise its not a smart phone, but its slow as hell to even write a simple email

3. the phone supports reading email in HTML, please support writing and forwarding and replies of email in HTML as well please

4.change the exchange sync so its at the same intervals as email please! i dont want one account for syncing contacts and calender and seperate imap email!

1. Push appears fine with me..

2. Dont open so many apps at the same time!

3. you dont need HTML editors on a candy phone!

You must know something i dont then! I just have a bog standard elm sim free with generic UK settings in black.

The exchange (if your not relying on push and relying on manual sync) is only available once every hour, yet I can poll for email every 5 minutes via Imap or pop3 protocol, doesnt make sense to me.

I used it with Gmail, and yet exchange functions aside the push works for a couple of hours and then clogs up. i have had 2 elms on the 3 network under numerous google accounts and push dont work for me! any ideas?

Why wouldnt i want HTML email on a candybar phone? SE should also upgrade the firmware to support higher versions of the exchange active sync protocol, even support windows live exchange as well.

Put it this way. I could be writing a simple email, no other progran is running ( i dont even use the facebook app) and it will start to lag. The phone can multi task but not like an s60 phone? unfair comparison perhaps?

Hi all

I also have one thing to say

With memory card of 8GB, even thou it's not music phone, we all put music in it

So with this much songs, it's really hard to find the one u want in player

So my suggestion is to build in search option in music player

I would love to disable the light sensor and keep the LCD on full brightness at all times.

Elm have a Search option for songs, but not have play with folder.

in the playlist you can add only song by song. not a folder. please add an option to add entire folder.

because of it you have more life on your phone/battery.

I now that this is not a great job for elm, but i dont now if SE can add an option to dissable it.

I dont get it

U say, that if i make playlist, and add only song by song, and not whole folders, that then i could search for songs?

Well i created new playlist and i cant see how to search

When i m in player, and song is playing i press narrow down

And i get list, but how to search?

I dont meant on listing songs, cuz that isnt really big help

If i start pressing numbers on keyboard i always get same songs

For example, when i press 1, it show one song, when i press 5 it show some other song, but when i press 1 again, it show me again same song like 1st time

So it really isnt search cuz u cant find song that u like but only the one that system put there i guess

Yes i now, if you want to search a song you need to go on Song, and put there the name, but if you have on player menu you cannot search a song.

You can search 1 by 1 and play.

I think there's too much difference in the brightness. In bright light the display is lovely but when the outside light is dimmer and the keypad lights up I think the LCD display dims a little too much.

- The display shuts down ridiculously fast. Give the user the option to modify this behavior.

- Modifying the loudspeaker volume should always be visible on the display.

- Shortcut "up": Make that user definable.

- Option to rearrange and rename shortcuts in the applications menu.

- Option to replace the (pretty poor) dictionary\word list that is used in SMS suggestions feature.

As a Elm user, i too wanted to say some things that needed to be fixed/updated in the next firmware update.

Music and then selecting songs by going through Albums/Artists or Songs. So if i'm in the Music and listening some songs, and then i go to do any other stuff in the mobile, like apps, browsing, messaging, i'll go by minimising the Music Player. And if i switch to Music Player to change song or album, i press the back button for the Album or Artist or Songs, it won't go there or work, it goes to the main display. I once again have to go in the top button where the Music Symbol is there, it goes to the Artists/Album/Tracks options, not the back option where i came from.

Torch and then switch it off. Fix it to stay in the Torch page even after i switched on it.

Afterall, regardless of the mobile firmware update, i request one more to SonyEricsson. The Stuff in PlayNow are very less and uninteresting. The Games, Apps, and themes are very limited. They are not fun at all. I think the developers and everybody now shifted to android apps, and don't consider the PlayNow at all. Its very old fashioned and not updated. Its not enjoyable
