I have using the sony product for the last 5 years but the handset purchased 6 months back is giving me problems during phone calls as I can't hear the other person during the calls. Refering to other threads posted by users I even unchecked the 'mic suppressiion' option but still the issue persist. If someone has a solution to this please help.

If you had your phone in water, try to blow on the mic to remove any kind of water that might cover the mic.

Also try to restart the phone by press and hold the power button and volume up button at the same time until the phone vibrates.

You could also try to start your phone in safe mode to see if the problem might be caused by some 3rd party application:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

If you still experience problem I suggest that you update/repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update
