private data messaging...HELP?

Hiya. I like to keep my messages private- ie so that they don't show at the top of the screen when arrive. Ihave handcent for this . One of my work clients has a very poor signal and likes to use data messaging. I cannot find an app for data messaging that doesn't show at the top of the screen. Does anyone know of one? Or of an app which generally stops stuff showing top of screen!

I'd say don't try to use such an app, using any sort of an app which accesses your data messenging MAY allow the person who has developed the app to view your messenging, so in my opinion don't get an app as such.......

It hasn't answered my question at all, I still have private messages showing at the top of my screen

If you want secure data messaging you definitely do need to have a look through the Playstore, you will find things such this:
