SmartWatch2 SMS not working!!!

hey every1!

welcome to me! my first post!!! =D

...but for the bad reasons =(

i just got my SSW2 and i loved it!!!

MY PROBLEM:

when i get a SMS or MMS i do not get notifications on the watch =S how to activate them???

(strange thing, first 3-5 sms it notified me and i read them on the watch...)

everything is paired and synced and other aplications like slide show, music player control, calling, phonebook, email, work...

Have you installed the messaging app for the smartwatch from the smartwatch 2 app ?

yes i did 😃

i can open and read 30 messages that are already on the watch...

but the thing is, new messages, dont give me notificiation on the SW2...

i tried to delete all messages as well...

Maybe worth uninstalling the messages addon through Google play - restarting the watch and phone then re installing it again

tried it already 3 times...uninstall, reinstall...still nothing...

cleared the messages on the watch, after that it downloads to the watch 30 messages, i can open and read them

but when i get new messages i do not get any notification =S

really weird...

any other advice please? thanks for the support 😃

Sorry if any of this seems basic stuff but its best to check

Have you got notifications enabled in your Messaging app on the Phone ?

And if so do you get a notification on the top bar when you get a message ?

What phone are you using and what messaging app ?

No problema at all!!! i apreciate all the help 😃

i'm using a Sony Xperia Z1 =D such an amazing smartphone!!! and previously i had the xperia S.

i do have the notifications on on my phone...as well as notification vibration and light...

and to get the notifications on the smartwatch 2 i'm using all the required base apps and for

messaging the Messaging smart extension, official from google play, made by sony mobile comunications.

on my phone, the all time android 4.2.2 messaging application, didnt install any other kind of app for sms/mms service.

and all the other apps on SSW2 are running perfectly...like email addon, calendar addon, music, call log, etc

This may sound strange but download a free app called watchit from the play store and just set it to notify the watch with texts

As well as giving you the texts for now it would be good to see if it works ok

Also as i have found if you have 2 apps trying to send the same notification at the same time the top of the watch screen will show the official logo but the watchit screen will show the text, at least that will prove that its the app that is not sending to the watch and not the watch having issues recieveing it

Also just a thought if you go into your application manager and select messaging - smart extras can you clear the cache and clear data ?

that just may kickstart it

really smart advice!!! thanks!!!

just tried it and watchit works fine =D messages pop up with the text and even smiles =p

funny thing about watchit, when i was disabling all the other apps/services except Messaging, i disabled watchit itself xD

well, this doesnt solve my problem but now we know that it's Sony's Smart Messaging app that isnt working right...

hum...if you know of anyway to solve the native sms addon problem, please tell me 😃

if not, at least we could make it work with another addon...i think i can live with it xD
