My wife has been using the Xperi P fr sometime now, and it was working fine up untill last month when she went to China and used a local SIM there. Since her return her phone has failed to recognise any SIM (I have had 3 duplicates issued) with 'her' number. Eventhough the same SIMs work fine in my Xperia T and my same network SIM works fine in her phone. I have even tried reseting the phone twice but with no luck. It just doesnt recognise her numbers SIM, keeps asking for a SIM to be inserted.

Your wife could have damaged the SIM place when she inserted the SIM card from China, maybe they are a little bigger or different from ours. You could have your phone checked at a sony center, that is my opinion.
