I really am getting cheesed of with sony so can someone please explain this

in order to get the camera to work 2 restarts and stopping the camera service

I can't see the picture, upload it to box.com and post the link here, make sure to make the file/picture public.

Also, where are you saving the pictures? (internal storage or an SD card)

The "Camera Not Available" message shows when software and hardware abstraction layer fail to communicate. There are a number of reasons for this:

you have another app that has the camera open or requested a "handle" on the HAL (hardware abstraction layer) for the Camera.
The handle on the camera was not cleared properly because the program which held it crashed (happens sometimes with third party apps implementing camera use, sometimes even with your camera app).
The HAL itself crashed
The app accesses a different default than what leads to the camera

Check your recent apps and see if there's a camera app shown. Swipe that away. Then try again. If that doesn't help, reboot and start the camera via the hardware button (which sends a simple intent as opposed to opening via Shortcut which might not go straight to Superior (I almost put that in "" for being anything but superior) Auto.

If all that doesn't happen, there's a way to dump logs onto your console.

I have experieced this problem only once, Just restarted & the problem is gone.

Try Repairing your unit.
