Xperia l Internet data not working after updating to 4.2 Jelly Bean

Hi,

I recently updated my Xperia L using the Update Centre app on the phone itself but after the update my mobile data has stopped working. The phone shows that it is on but my internet access settings are missing and I'm also not able to receive the messages from my service provider with which i can store those settings. I have requested the service provider to send me the settings and I even get a message confirming that they have sent them but nothing happens. Please help me.

Have you tried to download Internet settings from Settings > Xperia > Internet settings?

Restart your phone and see if you can access Internet.

i got this prob too i update yesterday and then suddenly i noticed i cant browse the net using my mobile data and i cant see the 3g/HSPDA in my signal **bleep** is wrong

First of all, check that mobile data traffic is enabled. Go to settings > more > mobile networks.

You can also try to manually remove the APN settings from settings > more > mobile networks > access point name > tap your APN settings > menu button > remove APN.

Try to add new APN settings manually and restart the phone.

Hi,

The data on my Xperia L c2105 ( 2g/3g) suddenly stopped working, I am not sure whether I received any updates OTA but currently I am on Android 4.2.2, Build- 15.3.A.1.14.I am from india, and this happened all of a sudden....after going through various forums I have tried already going to Settings->Xperia->Internet Settings, the settings dont download.....Also I have tried configuring the APN manually correctly.....but still there is no sign of any data connection.If somebody has found any solution, please respond to me immediately.......Note:- I am also going to try to downgrade to build 4.1.2 and check if I am able to get it working.It was working fine and all of a sudden stopped working, a very disappointing beahviour from a product of something like sony

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sound strange. Just to be sure, check that mobile data traffic is enabled and that network mode is set to WCDMA/GSM. Go to settings > more > mobile network > mobile data traffic/network mode.

Try to remove the APN settings from the phone, turn it off, remove the battery and SIM for a while. Put it back in and see if you can download new Internet settings.

If you still have problem I would suggest that you try with another or a new SIM in your phone or trying to repair/reinstall the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

I am having similar problem. After updating to Android 4.2.2, internet stopped working. I can neither access net through wi-fi nor through mobile data. Please help.

As said above you can use 3rd party apps for Video chat over 3G Internet. Xperia L does not support native 3G video calling.

hi frnds...i too have the same problem,,,,and now my problem is solved.....after ur latest update u have to just do the following steps....

To download Internet and messaging settings

From your Home screen, tap .
Find and tap Settings > Xperia™ > Internet settings.
Tap Accept.

this one makes mobile data work on our phone....
