error updating pc companion

hey ,,i have tried downloading the pc companion software from different sites online..

after downlaoding and installing it it gives an error which says i have to update the pc companion before i cud use it..however everytime i try to update it it gives another error saying - error updating the software....is it becaus of slow net??

it could be a slow connection, it could be your firewall/antivirus
