i boughtt Xperia L 5 days back...and yesterday while making skypee call i obseved that video is like black and white...i.e brightness is too low........is there any fix for this prob....and am having .17 update.....

Before this I had been using galaxy S. XL and and SGS both have front vga camera but the quality of xperia l front vga camera is very low (noisy picture, brightness very low) and there is vertical lines showing while using fring, google hangout. I first though the line problem is depend on connection quality but there is no line in my SGS front vga camera.

I have played with all possible settings. Please let me know if I am missing any camera settins.

Earlier it gave a very poor quality but now The front camera does not get launched at all instead hangs whole of the system .

Did you try to open fron camera with different apps? Same issue?

You can try for example with a video call on skype

Try also to clean camera app cache from app list

When did the problem appear? If appeared after last firmware update most likely is a firmware issue. You can try to make a factory reset or to repair software with PC companion

Bug in front camera shortcut app that came with update

With the new update I got shortcut apps like calculator, timer and a shrtcut for front camera called faceview app.But if . Open it leave it as it is and then lock and unlock the phone , take the regular camera app..then everything just freezes... Camera app crashes and need to restart with the phone.

I Also experience with mem leaking,walkman senseme channels not working,playlist disappearing etc..
I didnt expect this from a global company like Sony.The new apps Sony provided are just crap. Rectify them asap

Any solutions to above stated would be heartily appreciated

Uninstall > reinstall the app, if that doesn't work then its an app bug and it has to be addressed by the app developer (microsoft) not Sony

i have reinstalled the latest update using Service update cente....but doesnt seems to help......is there any thing else i can do to fix it......?

and one more thing is it a hardware prob or software prob....?

i have tested it...it shows ok...cos while testing it doesnot differentiate between colours...its just ask whether front camera was able to take the click...tats alll......

has anybody else faced this problem...?..

I also have this problem. Not to be worried with this. Xperia L has got a stupid front camera like Rs.2000 Chinese phones. That can not be solved with installing and uninstalling any **bleep** software or phone OS. You have to accept it.

i just bought an xperia L last saturday and i noticed that the front camera is too grainy and sort of sepia, is it just my phone or others experience this, before i was using a xperia mini pro sk17i and it has vga front cam also, but i didn't encounter any problem on its front camera like my newly bought XL, can this problem be fixed?
