Battery problem - new software?

Hi!

I have Z1 for a week now. At first, I was really surprised with the length of it's battery life - it took me 2 days (first days of new cellphone, you know, how do they look ) to run out of juice, but after new Sony software update, fully charged battery goes to 15-20% after 10 hours of normal work mode. This COULD be understandable, but I can't really get, that during night, my phone uses up 30% of its battery (wifi off, gps off, bluetooth off, no additional applications working, stamina mode ON), when BEFORE software update it took like 2%.

What's wrong, Sony?

I am using Z1 for past 18 Days, There's no such battery problem experienced with my handset. Try re installing the entire software package using Sony Updater, Hopefully will solve your problem.

Do we have to update that link you sent in the phone or the desktop ?

Try that link on PC. It will download 47.6MB setup that will guide you how to Re install software. The software size is around 842MB for Z1 so make sure you have a good internet connection.

did ur data got erased while u updated ur phone?? i mean the apps dat u installed n ur msgs n contacts?

The problem came back. It's even worse than before. Here are screens of power management:

Tried to turn off WiFi and WiFi dependance to Z1 location, but it doesn't seem to work. Only thing, that I (well, it was installed without my agreement) installed in last few days, were Google Play Services.

I paid a lot of money for that phone. I shouldn't be forced to do fabric reset every two weeks. Sony, please, fix that issue.

I would love to get an update which fixes the touchscreen discrepancy and the battery draining issue. Even if it's a small hotfix... A patch that fixes those two and does not introduce new bugs. A dream? A hope?

I guess it's too much too ask. I can't believe this, we (users of Z1) reported that bug almost right away, there are quite few posts from people, that tried to investigate this case on their own, with some results and still, not even an ANSWER from tech support.

When can expect a patch to address the touch/battery issues?

Given that my last thread about this was deleted for no apparent reason - I am creating a new one to ask this question again:

When can we expect a hotfix to address the well-known touch screen and battery drain issues?

I do not see any valid reasons for you to delete my thread, knowing that a large number of people have complained about this. I understand that the Z1 Ultra has had touch screen problems and a hotfix has been released for them, but what about us, Z1 users? Please do not delete this thread again, or if you do provide some explanation as to why you chose to do so.
