I used to be able to listen to music on my headset on the Sony xperia j but recently when I plug in my headset to listen to music it plays the music through the speakers on my phone? Someone help me?

- Check if same issue with another headphone set

- Check if same issue using another music app or during web browsing (or youtube videos)

- Check if same issue during a call

- Check if same issue booting phone in safe mode

Method 1

Press and hold the power button
Long-press the “Power off” option that appears.
The next dialog box will ask you if you want to reboot to safe mode may pop up. Tap OK
Method 2
Turn off the device.
Press and hold down the power key until the phone vibrates.
Wait until the Xperia™ logotype disappears.
Press and hold the volume down key. The device then restarts in safe mode.
To exit safe mode, restart the device.

I think that issue with head set some head sets not supporting with some devices, check with anouther headset

Thanks for your help but it still isnt working?
