Bluetooth problem

Hi, mi name is Jorge from Chile. I have a problem with Xperia L bluetooth.

My xperia L bluetooth ussually disconnects in my car. Every 1 or 2 minutes off of my car handsfree, also disconnected music but less frequently.

Please your help in solution of this issue.

This is happening to me as well. It is happening only after latest update 4.2.2. Before it was working fine.

First of all, remove the pairing from the phone under settings > Bluetooth > settings icon to the right of the paired unit > unpair. Restart the phone and pair the devices again. Also reset the car Bluetooth unit if that is possible.

I resetted the phone. So i had to pair again.

I even reset the car Bluetooth and paired again.

FYI, pairing is not the problem. It is pairing perfectly fine. After pairing, every minute for a second it will disconnect and connect again automatically.

Pairing is not the problem. After pairing, the problem continued. I'll try to restore the phone.

Just wanted to fill in that I experienced exactly the same problem, but after a 'repair' in PC Companion, the Bluetooth issue seems to have disappeared

The issue persists. Now, the bluetooth disconect and is switched every 3 minutes.

I do not want to reset the phone again.

Hi,

I have the same problem after updating to 4.2.2. I already did the resets.

After pairing the car with the phone (which works), the car asks to access the phone list details and addressbook. This has to be confirmed. When I hit "confirm" the bluetooth service fails and the phone disconnects.

Actually I can NOT use the bluetooth connection in my car, which .... is not that good.

Update broke Bluetooth for me too, the Bluetooth share process kept on getting killed.
So I rolled back to previous firmware version, the new update is way way too buggy, hard to believe it was tested at all

Hi, some news.

I set phone to default factory settings and firmware repair. This can be done with Sony Update Service tool (just google it).
Make sure to backup data before you start.

This worked for me. Not sure if standard factory reset also works.

I just update my Xperia L in December 2013 C2104. After update my bluetooth starting crashing. Before the update, it worked PERFECTLY with my Chrysler UCONNECT, I mean beutiful, no issues. After update it does not pair, after several attempts it does connect, but in 1 minute the phone crashes, it sais blue tooth sharing and com.android,something has stopped working and the phone reboots. Please fix, or let me know how to get previous version. I was so happy with my phone until this update. Please fix, or submit a solution. I use as hands-free and bluetooth player in the car... well USED TO.

I'm also having pairing problems with my xperia L c2104 after the firmware update. I cannot connect my handset to my car Bluetooth (which works fine). Please Sony solve this ASAP. It su.ck.s to have to actually hold your mobile phone to answer a call while driving knowing that your car and mobile phone have bluetooth features but the dam.n thing does not work!

Ok, I think I have some good news. After messing a lot, and seeing other problems, like my mini apps not showing in the recent tab.

I saw the same recomendation, I updated my phone using SUS (update Service). The problem with this update is that wipes the phone, something I was willing to do. I backed up with the BAckup Restore app instead of the PC COmpanion back up.

So anyway, I updated with SUS, dowloaded a 600MB file, the phone was updated Offline, turned it back on, finish updating and setting up, and my phone does not crash anymore with my Uconnect stereo.

Originally I updated my phone with PC companion, and it did not wipe it, so Im assuming that is not a robust installation as with SUS.

So far has been 2 days with out a problem. Hope this helps.

I have exactly the same problem since upgrading to this lastest version no issues previuosly , its not a pairing issue its a Sony issue . Please fix thsi issue it a driving issue in the UK we get fined and driving penalties in the UK so its urgent that our phone works with our expensive car system.. Never again will I buy a Sony !

I have done this and the probelm is the same as soon as it is pair bluetooth protocol stops work and the connection is dropped. it is clealrly a problem with this version as it was not happening before i upgraded . Do you have a fix for it other wise i will depand a refund and go back to apple or samsung ?

I am experiencing similar issues with a Xperia SP C5303 and firmware 12.0.A.2.254. I had the same problem with the older firmware, which was the trigger to upgrade to the most recent version, but the problem persists. I connect the phone and the car radio, and every 3 minutes, while playing music from the phone, i get a short interruption and then the music continues. Yet, neither radio nor phone say anything about a connection problem. I implicitly tried resetting the phone, b/c my first attempt at the softwareupgrade bricked my phone ... even though i was using pc companion, on a windows, with the sony cable and followed all instructions.

Please fix this.
