Trying to get T-Mobile USA LTE on C6903

Hello all!
I've been trying to get T-Mobile's LTE working on my Z1 but my attempt have all failed. My device is running unrooted and unflashed if it helps.
All I've gotten to connect to is 4G at the moment. I live in NYC so I'm well assured there's LTE in my area.
Any help is appreciated!

Might sound silly but I can't seem to find MMS Protocol anywhere in the menu.

Still no luck. I've double checked the settings and restarted my phone twice but 4G is still what I'm connecting to.

I have AT&T and for it to work the first time, I had to have an AT&T branded 4G device so they can enable 4G LTE on my account, I wonder if that's the case with your phone, also how old is your SIM card, stop by a Tmobile store and get a brand new SIM card, they are free.

I'm actually thinking it's my sim card, it's about two years old at least. I'll head over and get it.

New sim card didn't do the trick. I haven't had a T-Mobile branded device in a while so maybe that's the problem?

I think so, contact them and ask them if 4G LTE its available in your area and if it is if its available in your account

Spoke with T-Mobile and Sony, the latter of which just told me to call T-Mobile, and was told it's the device that doesn't support T-Mobile's LTE since the option for LTE doesn't show up as a choice in Network mode.

Admittedly, I'm slightly irritated from spending quite a bit of time on the phone and getting no where. I know this device supports LTE since I can select LTE as an option when I go into *#*#4636#*#* and phone info

That doesn't make sense, the phone does support T-mobile USA, have you check the XDA forum, I've seen users with the same issue but they were able to get it to work, I don't have this phone so I can't give you any more info on this.

Good news, went to the XDA forums and followed the instructions to flash the Z1, and now LTE shows up as a choice in network mode. Problem solved.

Probably a stupid question but would this phone work on Sprint and use their LTE? Or is Tmobile the only/best option?
