My phone is showing that the battery is always 1% charge even after letting it charge for several hours. I did a test and the phone was working eight hours without loading it into electrical energy and always showing 1%.

i dont think this is a common issiu. You should take your phone to a technical service if pc companion repair doesnt work for you.

If your phone shows 1% of battery but doesn't power off by itself maybe is a firmware issue

Repair your firmware with PC companion as suggested.

Thanks for the help. The PC Repair Company does not leave the battery with less than 50%.

Did you ever find a fix for this issue??? My phone is doing the exact same thing and I cant seem to fix it. I have already tried all the suggestions everyone has made (exception for taking it to a technician...that could be pricy!). Please let me know how you resolved this problem if you did. Thanks!

Tech is too far from me as well. Someone stated that this is not a commom problem with sony, but contrary to a lot of research, this problem seems to be very common! Problem is that everyone is keeps posting for help, but no one has posted a solution if they found one. The only thing I havent tried that others have posted is to try is to replace the battery. But yeah, gotta get to a tech to do that. If I figure something out I will let you know. But it's looking like the solution may be a new phone... and not a Sony!

I have the same problem. This morning I realised that my Xperia Ion was on 1%, but it didn't turn off. Now i am charging my phone on the PC, the power is increasing in a slow way, now is on 4%. I hope I can fix this problem

Hey

I just update my phone to 4.1 three days ago and after use it with new android i had the same problem. the phone works like before but the level is always 1%. when I charge it it becomes 100% very fast and then it becomes 1% fast too.

How can i solve this problem?

Help me please.

I ended up taking mine to the repair shop in hopes that it just needed a new battery. They tried that first but unfortunately the motherboard was fried. Phone is garbage
