My "SmartWatch 2 app. on my phone has been "force stop"-ed, and this prevents any communication to the actual watch - how does one re-start an app. which has been subject to "force stop" ?

Usually a phone restart will re-enable any forced closed apps to restart

I eventually fixed the problem by un-pairing the SW 2 and the phone - then re-pairing.

I found that Sony's own email smartwatch app was making the Smartwatch 2 program force close. Removing that app helped for me.

Hope that helps

Ken

I'm now on my second SW 2, the first had to be returned due to a fault.

While the new watch works OK, (and I will avoid force stopping anything this time), nevertheless the union between watch and Samsung Galaxy S3 is not a totally happy one.

From time to time one or other of the icons on the watch just refuses to work, it loses its usual color, effectively is "grayed out".

To get it to work again I usually have to turn the watch off and on again - or the phone also off/on. I think this happens more when the watch has been temporarily out of range of the paired phone.
