anti shatter firm scratch

Had anyone change anti shatter firm? I have some scratches on my screen.

You can remove it, however you will lose both the Sony logo and the screen warranty (whatever that is :smileyconfused:)

Yeah! i know, i just want to replace a new one. Is anybody had replace a new anti shatter firm at sony repair center before?

The anti shatter film can unfortunately not be replaced. You need to replace the entire display.

You can put a standard screen protector on the phone but it will not have the same effect as the anti shatter film.

the entire display can be replace at sony repair center?

i already put a standard screen protector, but still can see the scratch clearly. thats why i feel want to replay or repair to make my phone look nice.

Any suggestion? and what can i do so that my screen can look nice.

yeah, i know scratches are not covered by warranty. so that's why i wish to replace the scratches ASF with new ASF. What i means is i purchase a new ASF but not FOC. Is it possible sony repair center will do it for me? thanks

Anti shatter film? Is it pre-installed on the phone? I'm not seeing any film on my z1 when unbox, so I spend another 50 to buy a screen protector.

when i got my z1 theres was an additional screen protector in the box too , u didnt use it ?

What is this anti shatter film? When I bought the phone the sony guy in the shop put some kind of protectors on the front and back of the phone.. Are they the anti shatter films or is it inbuilt into the screen?

The ASF it is NOT sold separately, if you remove the ASF you will void your screen's warranty, also if you remove it, you will remove the Sony logo. The only way to get a new ASF is with a new Digitizer

i still have my hairline crack which is not covered with sony but apprently i get a 2 year warrenty

I have removed ASF due to too many scratches on it in first couple of weeks after getting Z1.

After no ASF using screen became a nightmare.

If my fingers are any wet then screen goes mad, detecting presses everywhere and behaving like there are many fingers/pointers

Also if screen is any dirty those areas also detect as if constantly being pressed

Now I barely can type well, and have t wipe screen every 2-3 minutes to keep it usable

I'm thinking should I apply some third-party propector over the screen, to reduce its crazy sensitivity?

There are some liquid anti scratch solutions and other means to it.

Otherwise it's such a bummer

I bought one here and i am told it's easy to replace just like stick a piece of screen protector, but i need to be more careful. Though no warrant, but have the logo. I get a new phone again. I am also told i can stick another screen protector.

We should be able to do something. The phone instructions should say that this ASF will scratch immediately, even if you wipe it with microfiber material for lens cleaning. Nobody warned us about this.
